Ties of the Sparrow: cover art by H.L. Goyer

This is the cover for a graphic book I’ve been working on since September with McKinney.

In the end I decided to go no text on the cover, it’s the spine that shows up on every bookshelf, after all.

I wish I was at work right now, but I am quite sick. What a strange thing to say, “wish I was at work.”

I am bored at home, so I re-organized my bookshelf where I keep my favourite books. So if looking at a strangers books is something you enjoy, feel free to check these out!

You can see my original copy of The Hobbit from 4th or 5th grade alongside my original copy of The Illiad! Right beside it is my newer copy which is the one I now read due to the original being in an ill-state.

You’ll also find my prized-find, an older copy of Keats collected works that I found at a used book store hidden in the back store room, it had fallen behind some other less impressive books. Still inside was an invitation to some event probably addressed to the books original owner as well as a few related newspaper clippings with Keats as the topic.

A Portrait of my most Prized Book

A copy of The Poems of Johns Keats from 1906. I found it at a local used book store, which was located in a dusty forgotten corner of their storage room. Why the flux this wasn’t right on the shelf with a big sign pointing to it saying “Awesome!” I’ll never known. But now, whenever I go to any place that deals in vintage or antiques, I’m going to tell them specifically, “no, not these books. I want the secret books, in the back.”

Also, a long-time friend, Tonberry snuck into this photo.
