I’ve got some kind of an art show coming up at the end of February, and I will have on display at least a few paintings that combine my recent drawing developments with my usual attempted abstract expressionism.

My drawing teacher once asked me in first year, “You don’t really want to draw those kind of lines do you? You’ll have to colour them all in.” When I told her that yes, I really do, she pretty much just told me that I should not do it that way ever. Soooo I stopped for a few years, doing as instructed.

A few years later, I’m doing it my way again. I like having to fill in my own lines with solid colour, it is almost a meditative process for me.
