Old Goat Glacier Trail, Alberta photographed by H.L. Goyer
-
This is not even remotely recent, but I completely forgot about it and just found it the other day in a long lost folder sitting on an old backup drive.
If you are looking at the dirty mucky stuff to the left, I think that’s a portion of the glacier but I cannot remember where during the hike this was taken.

This is just me showing someone how easy it is to cut things out with the lasso tool in photoshop, rendering the pen tool somewhat useless in my opinion save for instances where you need precise and accuratesymmetrical paths.Almost any other scenario and I can do it faster and better with the lasso. This kind of thing doesn’t even require a tablet!
Anyhow they disagreed originally but this took me about 4 minutes and is more accurate than their 20 minute pen-tool efforts so I converted someone finally to doing things by hand, even in photoshop. (This does not ring true in illustrator however, but that was not the topic…)
Also I actually just like how this looks with the cats cut out.
I have easily 2000+ photographs of just water. Probably triple that for clouds. This is from a couple years ago so don’t hassle me about the post-processing desat.
This was from the other week, I only now got around to importing it and sizing it.

“The Tower Watch: Shift Manager”
The only discernible difference between a normal tower watch and the shift manager, is the shift manager is always high and covered in catnip.

It takes every ounce of my will power to keep this blog from being 100% about my cats.
“The Tower Watch”
Ha. She loves to sit up there and just watching hoodrats and little ladies with 50 shopping bags walking by.

The other night it was very foggy, and when that is the case I love taking photos due to the sickly orange glow that floods the sky.
